Upgrading your existing windows and doors to a more efficient product are just another energy efficiency products eligible for tax credits.  The amount at present if up to $1,500 for qualifiying items.  Once again, this is making the process of double benefit for the homeowner.  You save at tax time and each and every day, you are saving on your energy bills.

In the older homes, insulation in the attic and crawl spaces were either non-existent or of lesser amounts than what our minimums are at the present.  To save on heating and cooling, the Federal Government is offering a tax credit of up to 30% to add or increase those insulating products that will lower your energy usage.  So taking an inventory of where your home can make a difference in cutting back on energy expenditures and making those changes can mean money in the back for you.
